Rocket Prize For Canadian Youth Programming

The Rocket Prize will award the best independently produced Canadian youth TV show on May 6, 2009, in Toronto.

The four finalists include: Instant Star seasons three and four, How She Move, Fred’s Head and Sticks and Stones.

Two juries will judge the entries, including reps from the Cartoon Network.

The Rocket Fund is dedicated to supporting and investing in quality Canadian children’s and youth programming. Since 1998, the Rocket Fund has contributed over one billion dollars to the production of Canadian children’s and youth programming seen around the world. Well-known programs that have received funding through the Rocket Fund are: Degrassi: The Next Generation; Life with Derek; Being Ian; renegadepress.com and Instant Star.
