Alanis Morissette - Under Rug Swept - CD Review

Alanis Morisette has a new CD called Under Rug Swept with tracks like "Hands Clean"

2002 (Maverick)

Alanis Morissette is back with her first studio album since 1998's Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. On her latest CD, Under Rug Swept, Alanis Morissette continues her unique storytelling about relationships gone wrong and what she's learned from them.

The first single, Hands Clean, is already burning up the charts - proof that Alanis Morissette hasn't lost her touch. The songs on Under Rug Swept are guitar-driven, edgy pop songs but just because they're pop doesn't mean Alanis is singing about how cute so-and-so is or other cheesy issues. Alanis is not cut from the same cloth as girl pop groups. Most of the music on Under Rug Swept blends keyboards and acoustic guitars giving it a different feel than ...Infatuation Junkie. Songs like the upbeat Narcissus take you up while gentler acoustic tunes like Utopia take you away.

Alanis had the help of some very notable guests playing on the CD including Meshell Ndegeocello (bassist,) Dean DeLeo (guitarist, Stone Temple Pilots) and Eric Avery (bassist, fomerly of Janes's Addiction.) The CD is full of great introspective tunes, although one more upbeat song would probably have gone a long way. For a pop CD with more substance than Britney puts in her hair, check out Under Rug Swept by Alanis Morissette.

I thought it'd be cool for all the anime fans if there was a forum where we could find friends who like the anime we do :) Personally I really need some more friends who like what I do. Maybe you'll find someone who shares your love for something really obscure! Including manga too. To start off here are some favorites of mine: (just because one isn't here doesn't mean I might not like it too so everyone please share yours!) Black Butler D. Gray-Man No.6 Yu-Gi-Oh Seraph of the End Puella Magi Madoka Magica Horimiya Kekkai Sensen Free! Kyoukai no Kanata Tamako Market (especially its movie!!) My Little Monster Mekakucity Actors (and that whole music project that it's based on) Toradora! haven't finished reading/watching but like: (if you like it I'll make it a priority :)) Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Pandora Hearts Kyou Kara Maou Kuroko no Basket Noragami Kiznaiver  Bungou Stray Dogs The World Is Still Beautiful Ajin Haikyuu!! Aldnoah.Zero Princess Tutu That's all I could think of for now! What are yours? Note: No bashing other people's faves! Have debates/flame wars elsewhere. (Especially about Sword Art Online. Let's not even touch that)

Finding Nemo, only because Finding Dory took awhile to establish itself.

Which channel do you think as of today is the best channel for kids today on cable. I would probably go with Disney XD. It's just as good as it was back in 2009 in my opinion and it has a great selection of shows. What do you think is the definitive channel for kids in 2016?
