Finally, the much-anticipated release of the new Mata Nui set from the Bionicle: Glatorian Legends collection has come. As part of this LEGO building toy, Mata Nui carries the Mask Of Life.

We were really looking forward to getting this new set because Mata Nui is a character who will be starring in the upcoming move Glatorian Legends, which is set to be released later this year.

Meet Mata Nui

Basically, this guy is a Great Spirit who was created by the Great Beings to explore and observe the galaxy. The same Great Beings also created the Kanohi Ignika, a mask that could heal Mata Nui’s life force if required.

Mata Nui significance in the story is that he was the god and protector of all the other characters during the 2001-2008 storyline. But at the end of 2008 he was banished from that universe and his spirit was put in the Mask Of Life before his body was flung out into space. His next stop: Bara Magna.

Toy Test

This toy comes in a bright yellow box that’s hard to miss. Keep the plastic box after you open it – you can use it to store the pieces of the building set in once you’re done playing. It also comes with instructions to help you put the set together.

The set comes with 52 parts, including: one mask, two shin protectors, two yellow scarab weapons and two silver scarab weapons. When you build Mata Nui you can do so having him pose in different positions, including holding all his scarab weapons, balancing on his toes or aiming at the sky.

Sorta relatable! Example: Dream Mission Across the Realms! (I also decided to use Zac, if you didn't see) In the morning, you feel so cold that you get back in bed and fall back asleep.

Relatable! You make yourself fangirl by making a character based off of a character you fangirl over. Then, as you keep the best parts of that character, you mentally/actually yell out, "Yes! Yes! Yes! YES!"
