There are multiple reasoning why schools have uniforms, none of which involve the torture children might go through: 1. Bullying- many students get bullied for what they wear, so if all students basically wear the same thing, then you are less likely to get bullied. 2.Inappropriateness -  Some students, mainly in high school, tend to wear inappropriate clothes. 3.Blending in - This is very rare, but sometimes kidnappers are looking for a certain person, so if all the children look the same on the playground, then it will be harder to find that person. - Thanks, Loves!! :love

It's very normal to feel nervous or scared, but that feeling will fade away as time passes. You'll soon settle in. When I moved to college I only knew my sisters there, just be confident and friendly and you'll make friends quickly. :) Good luck!
