Birthdate: July 9, 1991
Birthplace: Garland, Texas

You know him best as Oliver on Hannah Montana—check out Kidzworld’s bio of the always entertaining actor and performer, Mitchel Musso!

Mitchel got his start acting in commercials and modeling for print jobs, but his big break came in 2003 when he and his brother Marc landed duel roles in Secondhand Lions, a drama starring veteran actors Robert Duvall and Michael Caine. Mitchel then went on to star and gueststar in numerous TV shows before he scored his best-known role as Oliver Oken on Hannah Montana, a character Mitchel says he relates to because "Oliver is all about girls, of course, and I am all about girls."

Voice Work

Even though Mitchel loves goofing around in front of the camera, he’s done some serious voice work behind it as well! His lively and expressive voice has brought numerous animated characters to life, including Jeremy Johnson in Phineas and Ferb and DJ in the 2006 animated movie, Monster House.

A Christmas Gift

Mitchel recently recorded his rendition of Jingle Bell Rock for A Very Special Christmas 7, the latest installment in a charity franchise that has featured U2, Bruce Springsteen and other great music icons. Mitchell is in good company and this time around—h e recorded songs alongside Sean Kingston, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood and the Carter Twins among other teen singers. Best of all, all the proceeds go to the Special Olympics—the franchise has already raised more than $100 million!

Mitchel Says:

  • "I don't know if there are any sure-fire pickup lines! Girls are just out there. They're in their own world. You can't just get a girl with one pickup line."
  • "Hair helps me with confidence. I can be preppy, I can be punky, I can pretty much do every look."
  • "I don't like to show my bad mood to people, so I'll sit in my room and be creative on my computer."

Brave, but only because there was no love interest and it wasn't a musical.

In the end Rapunzel and the guy fall in love. But in Brave she didn't need a man to be happy. She was the strong one not a prince. She was smart and confident. I love that. So even though Tangled was really funny i will always pick Brave. That's a really good point ^-^ I still like Tangled better. The plot made more sense and was better written (in my opinion though) I thought the humor was better as well; definitely a lot less crude! Also, the lack of songs in Brave bummed me out... it is a Disney Princess Movie :/ (Don't argue that it's Pixar!) Wait you think because it's a Disney movie there has to be singing!? Really that's dumb. Ok that Iis just my opinion. But really that's dumb.  No, that's not what I think. They're are plenty of Disney movies without singing. I just would appreciate that aspect -especially in a Disney Princess movie, but it's okay.
