Let Go, the debut CD by 17 year-old Canadian, Avril Lavigne is causing a buzz in Canada and the US and it's easy to see why. This talented singer/songwriter and guitar player pours her heart and soul into Let Go which is full of teen angst we can all relate to.

Complicated, the first single off the album, wasn't written with a certain guy in mind - but it is a song about relationships, life and how some people are fake. On the other hand, the guitar-driven Losing Grip, the first song on Let Go, is about a an ex-boyfriend who couldn't give Avril what she needed emotionally.

Avril Lavigne has a great voice that can hold its own against heavy guitar strumming and yet she can soften her vocals to sound almost angelic on the next chord. I'm With You is the perfect song to drown your sorrows to when that guy from your science class breaks your heart. (Don't be surprised if this tune shows up on an episode of Dawson's Creek.)

Avril Lavigne's music has edge. What you see is what you get and Avril doesn't hold back in the lyrics. Songs like Sk8er Boi, Complicated and My World will have Avril Lavigne leading the way for a slew of guitar-slinging, skater-rock chicks to follow. Who knows - maybe the bubblegum pop bubble is about to burst for the Britneys of the world. What do ?
