The Necromancer, is the fourth (and newest) book in The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series by author Michael Scott. It comes out on May 25, 2010. Check out our review of this latest and greatest novel in a series we bookworms here at Kidzworld just can’t put down!

Fantastic Fantasy

The three books that have already been released in this series are: The Alchemyst, The Magician and The Sorceress. Now you can add the addition of The Necromancer to the series that travels the globe, exploring the idea that different belief systems (religions) and mythologies (legends) seem to have the same circumstances, villains and heroes – even though they all CLAIM to be different? If you’ve ever wondered about that, or imagined what it would be like if all of those “mythological” villains and heroes actually existed in a secret world or realm? If so, you’ll love The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, in which main characters Josh and Sophie (twins from San Francisco) go on a whirlwind adventure that’ll change their lives forever …

Action Adventure

The Necromancer is a non-stop adventure from page one! Whether you’re a guy or girl, you’ll love joining Josh and Sophie as they travel around the world, from San Fran to Alcatraz to London, meeting some of the most famous figures from history and mythology (who are just as noble or nasty as you thought they’d be!). With every page turn and twist in the story, another villain or hero is waiting to leap out at you.

Movie in the Making

As rumor has it, Michael Scott’s series is going to be made into a movie some time in 2012. In the meantime, you can entertain yourself by reading the books (there will be six in the series in total, so two more to go!) and visiting the The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel website, which provides a whole lotta fun for fans.

I think he's so popular because he isn't afraid to say what he thinks. He doesn't care what anyone thinks of what he says, he will just say it. Whilst this has made him increasingly popular, I don't believe it's a very good strategy logically. He doesn't know what he's talking about half the time and he'll probably forget half the things he says the next day. Most of his policies simply won't be accepted by the fellow governing body (I'm not too sure how your political system works) and I think he lacks realistic policies and strategies. He says he will do many things but gives no explanation as to how he intends to do it. He's going to stop Islamic Terrorism-how? By creating an even bigger social divide between Islam and the US? He's going to stop illegal immigration-how? By building a wall on the South border? What about the other borders? How is he going to change the current system that controls immigration? He's going to bring jobs, reduce unemployment and reduce the debt-how? Genuinely how? He may have been a successful businessman (debatable) but how is he going to improve the economy? He disproves of Obamacare, but what is he going to do to replace it?I just can't see this man in charge of a small town, let alone one of the, if not the, most powerful country in the world.Does he suck?Currently? No. Someone who's managed to gain popularity so successfully is definitely doing something right. As a president? I can only hope that it never happens. He needs to sort out his policies and he needs to reevaluate his way of thinking. I complety agree with you
