HeroClix :: DC and Marvel Superheroes!
Cool superheroes have been fighting in comics for years. Superman fights Lex Luthor, Spider-man pounds the Green Goblin, Wolverine and the X-Men battle Magneto and even Batman and the Joker duke it out in your fave comics. Now, with DC HeroClix Hypertime and Marvel HeroClix Infinity Challenge, you can fight these battles yourself and match your fave heroes against villains like Kingpin, or even against other heroes!
Here's the 411 on how DC HeroClix Hypertime and Marvel HeroClix Infinity Challenge work:
All your fave DC comics and Marvel comics superheroes and villains like Spider-man, Wolverine, Magneto and others have been made into little plastic superhero figures. The superheroes are about an inch tall and are on a round base so they stand up. DC HeroClix Hypertime and Marvel HeroClix Infinity Challenge are just like Mage Knight so if you know how that works, you can pick them up and play.
The base for each superhero has a dial on it that shows their speed, attack, defense and super-powers. The base also shows how many points the character is worth. The more points they're worth, the stronger they are. For example, Superman is worth 200 humongous points, Spider-Man is worth about 100 and regular thugs are only worth about 15.
To match up the Green Goblin against Spider-Man, to have Batman and Captain America fight Kingpin and the Joker or to have The Incredible Hulk smash Juggernaut - you need to have a buddy to play against. You each pick a bunch of points worth of heroes and villains, find somewhere to have a battle and fight it out!
When superheroes attack you roll two dice and add the attack rating of your superhero. If you get high enough, your Wolverine, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man (or whomever you've picked) will clobber the other hero/villain and cause damage. Hit them enough times and you'll knock 'em out cold. When all your superheroes are knocked out, you're out of the game!
The biggest bummer about DC HeroClix Hypertime and Marvel HeroClix Infinity Challenge is that "Officially" you can't mix up the DC heroes and the Marvel heroes. The DC superheroes like Superman, Batman and The Flash are way stronger than the Marvel heroes like Wolverine, Cyclops and Spider-Man so it's not fair. But if you give the Marvel player a couple of extra superheroes, or figure out something that you think is fair, you can totally mix 'em up.
