You favorite characters from Club Penguin get a game to call their own! How cool is it? Check out our review and find out!

Bear Essentials

Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force: Herbert's Revenge is very similar to the first Club Penguin DS game. It is mostly a point and click adventure game. You play as a secret agent penguin trying to stop Herbert the polar bear an Klutzy the crab from causing trouble on Club Penguin Island.

There are some brand new missions in this game, where you have to look for items using special spy devices like decoder rings, jet packs, and special goggles. As you travel, you will also need to play some mini-games, some which are only in the DS game.

Don't worry if you get stuck during a mission, Herbert's Revenge comes with an improved help system that will give you clues to help you along the way.

There are some annoying things about the game, however. For example, if you forget to get an item, sometimes you cannot go back and get it. So, if you get stuck without a grappling hook, you may need to turn off your game and restart it so that you can get the item you need.

Also, more than half the game is stuff that you can find online already. There are only a few new missions and a small handful of new mini-games. The rest are stuff from the website. This is not a bad thing if you love Club Penguin enough that you want to play it everywhere. Also, with the DS game, you will get 12 unique clothing items that you can use online and you will also be able to earn coins that you can upload to your online Club Penguin account.

Cool or Not?

Overall, Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force: Herbert's Revenge is good game for young kids, especially if they love Club Penguin. However, the fact that more than half the game is old stuff is a bit disappointing.
