NBA Finals 2010 - One More Game!

Jun 16, 2010

Game 7 here we come! It’s the most exciting possible scenario and the LA Lakers and Boston Celtics are headed for it. It could come down to one last shot at the buzzer that could decide who will get to raise the Larry O’Brien trophy in celebration of these NBA Finals.

Home Town Terror

In game 6 of these NBA Finals, the Lakers tied up the series with a dominating performance over the Celtics winning huge… 89-67. The score was 51-31 at the half. You couldn’t even recognize the Boston Superstars, as they couldn’t score points at all. It has to make you wonder why? How? What is different? It really shows how important it is to be playing in your home city… to have the fans cheering for you… to be able to feed off of the energy.

Defense! Defense!

Tough DefenseTough Defense

The Lakers were full of energy on this night. They were all over the Celtics defensively. Coach Phil Jackson must have made some adjustments to the Lakers game plan because the Celtics were averaging over 90 points a game before game 6. The Celtics, who shot almost 60% the previous game, only shot 33.3% this game. But it wasn’t the poor shooting of the Celtics, as it was the amazing defense of the Lakers. The Lakers were just faster this night… plain and simple.

Banged-Up

Poor PerkinsPoor Perkins

The Celtics were beat up by the Lakers on this night. Rajon Rondo was cut on the chin from a Ron Artest elbow. Kendrick Perkins left the game and is out for the series with a knee injury. Paul Pierce found himself on his butt multiple times courtesy of the swarming Lakers.

You can expect a rough and physical game 7. That usually means the game will be low scoring and full of fouls and foul shots. Oh well, it will still be exciting. I can’t wait! Who do you think will win? Let us know in the comments below.
