Puzzle Quest 2

Mashing together puzzle games like Bejeweled and RPGs like Final Fantasy, the Puzzle Quest series gets a sequel this week, available for DS, Xbox 360, and eventually on the PC, iPhone, and iPad. Puzzle Quest 2 adds new attacks, equippable weapons, and an all-new story with tons of endings to explore. Multiplayer battles now include a tournament mode, in which you get to take any four enemies found in the game and battle them against a friend, almost Pokemon-style. With multiplayer improvements and an all-new and more fleshed-out single-player, this should definitely please fans of the totally new puzzle RPG genre!

Transformers: War for Cybertron

You and two friends can battle it out for both the Autobots and the Decepticons in the latest Transformers game, War for Cybertron. This game covers the period before the Transformers reached the Earth, and the civil war that ripped apart their homeworld. You can play as your favorite Transformers and play either with or against your friends online. In Multiplayer, you can build your own Transformer that can switch between bot and vehicle modes at any time, giving you creative control on the action.

MegaMind

Coming out this November, THQ is developing games based on the upcoming Dreamworks supervillain-as-superhero movie, MegaMind! With all-new characters and storylines, the video games expand the MegaMind universe with fun gameplay with your friends. On the Xbox 360 and PS3, you get to test out MegaMind's inventions on new enemies called "The Doom Syndicate," cooperating with a friend. The Wii version includes four-player cooperative and competitive multiplayer, allowing anyone to choose their favorite character from the movie. Finally, on the DS and PSP, you control MegaMind and his array of blasters, working your way through opponents with lots of firepower at your disposal.
