Get the Look: Whitney Port

We’ve loved watching Whitney Port evolve from being Lauren Conrad’s fellow intern and friend at Teen Vogue on The Hills to a succesful designer with her own fashionable collection, Whitney Eve, in New York City! With her hard work, talented fashion eye and ambition, it’s no surprise that Whitney has found fashion success of her own. Always impeccably dressed - her style is quirky yet polished, girly but also sometimes tomboyish. She isn’t afraid to take risks which shows when she combines plaid with stripes, frills with nautical style and casually throws on some jungle print patterned leggings to wander around the city! Taking risks and playing around with clothes is what makes fashion fun and so far we’re loving Whitney’s personal style! We tune in to watch her MTV show The City partly to watch all the cute outfits she wears as she goes to meetings and parties with other fashion designers! Check out our gallery on how to channel Whitney’s style!

Get Whitney’s Look!

Whitney loves stripes, polka dots and and doesn’t shy away from bold color! Often in a vibrantly colored dress for events, she tends to dress down a bit more off duty and is often spotted in worn-in baggy boyfriend style jeans with the cuff rolled up, ballet flats, a statement jacket and a big scarf! One of the best style tips we’ve learned from Whitney is to mix and match colors, textures and patterns - as long as they are all in the same tone, it just seems to work! Although she always looks polished and put together, her shoes and accessories don’t necessarily seem to match each other which is part of the charm! Wear your baggy boyfriend jeans with a sequin top, pair ballet flats with a frilly dress and a boyish blazer, a leather jacket with a flower t-shirt or a long feminine maxi-dress with sneakers!

They're great friends and I'm just... stupid. I'm sorry dear but things do get better and its not your fault. Everyone messes up, its just a part a life. If you need to talk and explain to me with more info you can, I'm here. :)    ^^This. You're not stupid either. Everybody makes mistakes and messes things up.

Don't make your mom get irritated or she might start abusing you too. Talk to a counselor at school or something and figure out a way, like living with a relative or something. A counsellor is a good idea but talking to your mom is more important. She's your guardian. Don't worry about irritating her, tell her how you feel. Communication is important and the fear of getting abused should never ever get in between your relationship unless it's a previous factor in that relationship (not one with someone else). You have a right to tell her how you feel and have a discussion with her about it. I'm sure you can come to some sort of understanding. And if not, then maybe talk to someone outside the family. But don't go behind her back and talk to someone else about it unless it's 100% necessary for your family. She needs to know how you feel.

I know it must feel awful. But you have to remember that your parents still love you, they just don't have time to show it sometimes. Autism requires a lot of work, attention, and support. Unfortunately that's a sacrifice you make for family. Sometimes you have to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. They're doing this for the family.
