Flames on Fire

Iggy and OliIggy and Oli

The Calgary Flames and the Toronto Maple Leafs were two teams that did not make the playoffs last year. This year they rank #1 and #2 in the NHL pre-season. The Flames are undefeated with a 5-0-0 record and the Leafs are 4-0-1. It’s been almost 20 years since a Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup… is this finally the year that the Cup comes back to Canada?

Steelers Stealing the Show

Steel DSteel D

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the talk of the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger hasn’t even played a game yet and the Steelers are 3-0 and scoring lots of points. What will happen when Big Bad Ben returns? Will he add to the point-scoring machine or will he break up the chemistry? This weekend the Steelers play the biggest game of the week against the Baltimore Ravens.

I liked cheering for the underdog, so I've always cheered for the Cavs. I'd like to see how this year's line-up goes, though our past best point guard left for the Celtics.  :/

Mayo lost against Dublin again. 1-16 to 1-17. I support Mayo, and I am horrified to be honest. I don't want to sound like a sore loser, but I think Dublin fouled Mayo way more times than they were punished for it. Mayo rarely got any frees and the last free of the game was a minute before it ended and Dublin were taking it from very far away. Of course, they got it. Up until then, it was 1-16 to 1-16. I guess Mayo won't be taking home the cup again for another year.
