No review of Megamind would be complete without mentioning the Hollywood heavyweights that lend their voices to the characters:

Mega Story
Enough about the acting talent – what about the story??? Megamind (who says he was “born to be a super-villain” in his hysterical accent) was “born” Superman-style as a result of an exploding planet. Simultaneously, another character was also produced - Metro Man. Both land on earth but, while Metro Man is raised in a warm and loving home, Megamind lands in a prison yard full of convicts.
Turns out, ex-cons don’t make the worst parents, and Megamind grows up to be a totally brilliant super-villain – who is utterly unsuccessful. Over the years he tries to take over Metro City repeatedly, only to have every single one of his attempts foiled by Metro Man, who turns out to be the resident super-hero. All of this is documented by an intrepid reporter, Roxanne Ritchi, until one day…
Mega Problem
Surprisingly, Megamind actually manages to defeat Metro Man (this never happened in Superman’s stories, where the hero ALWAYS beat the bad guy) and, all of a sudden, he doesn’t know what to do with himself anymore. You can’t be a super-villain without an annoying hero to defeat, people! Luckily, a new villain decides to come to town. Now the big question on everyone’s mind is: can our ex-villain (Megamind) successfully turn into a hero and save the city?
