Beyblade Breakdown - Let it Rip!

Beyblade blasted into North America in June 2002 with the animated adventures of Tyson, Kai, Max, Ray, Kenny and their friends. The action is intense as spinning tops, powered-up with magical beasts, battle in Beystadiums to see who the champion Beyblader is! The best part about Beyblade is that you can join in the fun too - with your own Beyblade spinning top, launcher and Beystadium you can challenge your friends, hold competitions and even enter the BBA league to become the world champion.

Here's the 411 on each part of Beyblade:

The Show:

The animated Beyblade TV show is all about the adventures of Tyson and the Bladebreakers team. They're Beyblade champions - with an edge! Tyson's Beyblade has the powerful Dragoon Bit Beast powering it up so he can take on any challenger. The Bladebreakers each bring their own talents, and Bit Beasts, to the battle as they fight their way to becoming world champion Beybladers. You can watch their adventures on ABC Family, YTV in Canada and the Cartoon Network in the UK.

The Toys:

Beyblades are the #1 selling toy in all of Japan and they're hot stuff in North America too! It's super-hard to get your hands on the good ones - people have been camping out in front of stores, bribing store employees and chasing trucks full of Beyblades to get them!

When you finally get your hands on a Beyblade there are a couple different kinds you can get.

There is the build-it-yourself Beyblade that lets you mix and match the best parts to make the ultimate Beyblade.

Hidden Spirit Beyblades can be customized into awesome action figures for fun outside the Beystadium.

You can also get an electric Beyblade that comes fully assembled and goes into battle with sparks and battle noises.

You can also pick up Deluxe Launchers for more control and a variety of Beystadiums where you can hold your Beyblade battles.

The Championship:

Once you've learned how to "Let it Rip" and you're ready for a serious challenge - you can join the BBA! The BBA is the Beyblade Battle Association and it's all about Beyblade tournaments where you can enter, meet stars, challenge the best Beybladers in the world and win huge prizes. The tournaments are totally crazy in Japan - 15,000 kids enter and the tickets all sell out in one day!

The BBA will be coming to North America in 2003 so be ready to "Let it Rip!"
