Greyson's first single is 'Waiting Outside the Lines'

Singer Greyson Chance gained popularity when Ellen DeGeneres invited him onto her talk show in 2010. Greyson grew up in Oklahoma with a very musical family. He was trained in piano but also enjoyed singing. In early 2010 Greyson performed his own version of Lady Gaga’s song ‘Paparazzi’ in front of his school. He filmed the performance and then posted it on YouTube. Check out the video for yourself:

Viral Video

The video immediately went viral and was posted by gossip sites all across the web. It caught the attention of Ellen, who immediately wanted Greyson to be a guest on her show. Obviously he agreed and he performed ‘Paparazzi’ for all of Ellen’s audience. Ellen thought Greyson was so talented she invited him back to the show a few weeks later to perform one of his own original songs. She also offered him a record contract with her recording label.

Making an Album

Since his big YouTube breakthrough, Greyson has created his first full length album, which was released in August 2011. His original two singles are ‘Waiting Outside the Lines’ and ‘Unfriend You’. Check out the music video for his first single:
