Now available on DVD, Tuck Everlasting is about a long-kept secret, breaking free from the 'rents, and the magic of falling in love. Alexis Bledel (of Gilmore Girls) stars as Winnie Foster, a teenage girl who wants to escape from her controlling mother and father. Winnie isn't even allowed out of her gated yard into the forest. Then one day, she decides to disobey her parents and goes exploring.

On her journey she meets a boy in the forest, Jesse Tuck, played by cutie, Jonathan Jackson. Winnie ends up staying with the Tuck family, unwillingly at first, but then begins to dig their slow-paced lifestyle. The family takes Winnie in as one of their own and it's obvious Jesse and Winnie have a thing for each other.

Winnie makes no attempt to leave, even though her parents have everyone in the town looking for her - and even though the Tucks are obviously keepin' a major secret. Jesse finally breaks the family rule and tells Winnie the secret: the family will never die because they drank magical water from a tree in the forest, which gave them eternal life. The Tucks have kept the water a secret for fear of the world taking a drink. But one man is hot on their trail and has been following the family for years. Will he find the Tucks and steal their secret? You'll have to rent Tuck Everlasting to find out.

Tuck Everlasting is a great story with a pretty interesting plot but it's not without flaws. Like how about a little more romance between the two main characters, Winnie and Jesse? Let's face it Tuck's audience is looking for love!
