Top 10 Holiday Houses :: Musical Light Displays

Dec 19, 2011

Have you ever driven down a street with your parents and come across a house that is completely decked out for Christmas? Lights stretching from the tip of their chimney to the farthest reaches of their yards? Have you ever seen a house with lights that move to music? Here are our top 10 homes with the most outrageous and exciting lights-to-music displays!

No. 10

This house is neat, but it’s quite over the top, and not in a good way. It’s a little like a Christmas junkyard.

No. 9

There’s something very unnerving about this next one. The wreaths in the upstairs windows look like eyes, making the whole house resemble a giant light monster!

No. 8

Warning: Don’t watch this one if you’re prone to seizures. It’s crazy with a capital “C”! The show is synchronized to a really fast version of "Jingle Bells".

No. 7

This one is really fun, less because of the lights and more because of the music choice. Take a look!

No. 6

Less is more for these homeowners. Unlike some, they didn’t go overboard with the lights. Instead, they kept it simple, elegant and entertaining!

No. 5

By decorating only the trees in their yard, these homeowners created a truly unique and magical light show.

No. 4

Synchronized with "Amazing Grace", this light display is a little more elegant than others. But if you're more into techno songs than holiday ballads, don't worry. The end of the video won't disappoint.

No. 3

This household uses some very interesting elements in their light display – they have lights creating a windmill technique on their lawn and lights that look like fireflies buzzing in the air (both of which start about halfway through the video).

No. 2

This light show combines the magic of Christmas with the magic of Disney. Check it out!

No. 1

This house takes the No. 1 spot on our Top 10 list. It'll certainly be the biggest and boldest light display on their block!

Should these things really be taught or talked about in sixth grade? Should the Holocaust? Should Slavery? Should the Civil Rights movement? Because each of those subjects are definitely more inappropriate than the LGBT and what they stand for and yet it continues to be taught by teachers and learned by children in grades as low as fourth grade. Compared to those events in history, the LGBT discussion seems more like The Cat In The Cat than an inappropriate topic. And besides if a student feels they are mature enough to want to boraden their perspective and thoughts then they should be allowed to do it and not be oppressed or told they're wrong because their views differ from the status quo. Should children really be taught sexuality outside of Specs Ed class? Be honest here, none of us would want our kids to go to school and be lectured on the LGBT.  Well, actually that's not entirely true. ^ It depends on the parents. If they are conservatives, then that'll be true. However, they're lots of liberals who wouldn't mind.  My school educates us on LGBTQ+ quite often, and the students don't mind. Most enjoy it. I've only heard one family complain, and they were conservative.  The teachers are people with political and social opinions as well, which makes it hard to teach fairly. What curriculum would there be?
