Jump right into your favorite Disney Pixar movies in Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure! See our game review for the full details!

Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure is somewhat of a spiritual successor to the Disneyland: Kinect Adventures game that came out last year. Both games put you in a central hub where you can jump into a different world. However, instead of different theme park areas, Kinect Rush lets you jump into different movies and play out familiar scenes from that movie.

A Disney Pixar Adventure

The Kinect camera will scan your body and create a character that you will use for the game. After that you can jump into the world of Up!, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Cars, and Toy Story. Each world has a set of missions, such as navigating the sewers in Ratatouille or winning a race in Cars. You can play the missions again to try for the high score and earn more coins.

Along the way, you will get to work with your favorite characters from each movie, such as Remy, Buzz Lightyear, and Lightning McQueen. Afterwards, you can unlock these characters and play as them in other worlds. You can also hang out in the central hub area, Pixar Park. Here, you can complete more missions and find more unlockables.

The Kinect Connection

Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure is played with the Kinect. You put your hands in front of you to drive using an invisible steering wheel and you can run and explore by pumping your arms and turning your shoulders. The motion detection is touch and go at times, it will take some getting used to before you will be able to get through platforming levels easily and hit the high score. Overall, Kinect Rush is a fun game for Disney Pixar fans, especially the younger ones.
