Jul 18, 2012

This week on Pretty Little Liars (Season 3, Episode ), Hanna and Spencer devise a plan to find April Rose and deliver ‘A’ straight into their hands, until it all goes wrong that is! Read the Kidzworld Recap of The Remains of the ‘A’ which aired July 17, 2012 to discover what you missed!

A Pretty Little Plan

With their new piece of evidence about ‘April Rose’ having information, Hanna and Spencer both feel like they finally have a way to track down ‘A’ – if only they could figure out who April Rose is! They decide to replace the note under Garrett’s mother’s medical bracelet with one telling ‘A’ to meet them at Church that Hanna has been volunteering at and plan for all the liars to be there, but each little liar encounters a hitch in her plan. It turns out that the volunteer party for the clothes drive is happening that night and Hanna is caught in an elaborate lie when she tells her mother that she’s going with Toby in order to ward off some unwanted attention and then convinces Spencer to ask him.The pressure is on though when Spencer discovers that her mother may have been able to set Garrett free after getting the prosecution’s evidence thrown out.

When Emily arrives early at the meet point the cafe in front of her jogs her memory from the night at Alison’s graveside, she recalls a circular marking on a wrist and someone writing ‘I’m sorry I left you’ on the diner’s menu.

Sock Drawer Surprise

Aria is nervous about her first day of work apprenticing the photographer and before she leaves stumbles across something that throws off her whole day – a huge amount of cash stashed in Ezra’s drawer! She casually asks Spencer without letting why anyone would have that amount of money in a sock drawer and none of the answers could be good. When Aria confronts him about it at the end of the episode Ezra confesses that he sold his grandfather’s vintage car and that he was too embarrassed to tell her, but as she sits down to watch TV with him, we see Ezra throw a wary glance toward the dresser, it doesn’t look like he’s being entirely honest. Could it be the $50, 000 reward that Jason offered for information on his sister’s death?

Hanna is stuck socially treading water and making excuses to both her mother and Toby at the church party while her mom gets her flirt on with Pastor Ted because Spencer and Jason put their heads together and discover that April Rose is actually an antique store. They immediately go down there and discover Alison’s treasured ankle bracelet and anonymously turn it into the police hoping to keep Garrett behind bars.

Holden Back

The church party obviously does not go as planned, with Hanna in hot water with her mother, Toby and also Detective Wilden, who discovered the fake note they left under the medical bracelet and shows up for the secret meeting near the church organ, assuming Hanna must now be in league with Garrett (not true!)

Despite having waves of déjà vu, Emily rushes over to the party when Hanna calls in distress and when she gets there runs right into Holden – who we haven’t seen since Aria was fake-dating him. Emily notices the same circular stamp on his wrist and he tells her it’s from a party that moves location, and that he used to see her girlfriend there. Emily thinks back on that night and has a fuzzy picture of someone looking like Holden holding hands with a dark-haired girl at the diner.

When coming down for school the next day Mr. Hastings asks how she and Jason discovered the anklet. Apparently the police had been searching for it for two years, and what’s more, the blood on it is NOT Garrett’s and exonerates him completely!

As the show closes we see a hooded figure eating a bowl of ice cream and searching for rooms for rent in the wanted section.
