Top 5 Winter Accessories

Nov 13, 2012

Winter is the season of warm-weather clothes and, most importantly, layers! Check out Kidzworld’s list of Top 5 Winter Accessories.

No. 5: Scarves

Scarves are stylish in all kinds of weather. This season, chunky knit scarves are totally in. If you live somewhere with warmer weather, why not try a scarf made out of a lighter material, like cotton.

No. 4: Mittens

Whether you want to play in the snow or just stay warm on your daily walk, mittens will help you achieve your goal. Choose a pair that is lined with a soft material like fleece to stay extra toasty and dry.

No. 3: Sparkly Nail Polish

With the holidays approaching, a well-manicured set of nails could be your best accessory. Choose a color with a hint of sparkle in it for some extra shine.

Tip! We suggest 521 – Red Sparkle by Milani.

No. 2: Leather Boots

A nice pair of leather boots is the perfect accessory for a winter outfit. There are a variety of styles to choose from: military, equestrian, girly, etc. Find the fit that’s right for you! Make sure to treat them with a leather protector to ensure they last until next season.

No. 1: Knee Socks

Add a pair of knee socks to your fave leather boots to kick it up a notch. The choices are endless, from cable knit and lace to wool and cotton. Most of the popular retailers like American Eagle, Hollister and Abercrombie are carrying them this year.

Tip! We suggest the Shimmering Over the Knee socks in Grey from Forever 21.

My best friend's ten-year-old sister weighs close to that much, and she looks nowhere near fat. But even if you're shorter than most, I wouldn't worry about it until a lot later in your life, because kids tend to "grow into" their weight. BMI isn't always accurate, too, though; my BMI marks me as overweight, but I'm told by lots of people I'm average-looking.If you want to worry about it now anyways, I'd talk to a pediatrician or your parents or some other adult before taking action, and listen to any advice they may have. Made a typo first time around. Fixed it. First sentence said "weight" instead of "height".
