Alexandra Chando Bio

Mar 26, 2012

Alexandra Chando plays twins Sutton and Emma in the TV series The Lying Game. Find out more in her Kidzworld bio.

Soapy Start

Alexandra Chando was born and raised in a small city in Pennsylvania. After high school she went to Manhattan College, a liberal arts college in New York City. While she was there, she was discovered by producers for the daytime soap opera As the World Turns. She joined the cast and was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. She left the show to star in the web series called Rockville, CA, but it only ran for the spring of 2009.

Double Trouble

In 2010 Chando scored big when she was cast in The Lying Game. Based on the hit book series by Sara Shepard, the show follows twin sisters Emma and Sutton as they work together to try to find their birth mother. Separated at birth, the sisters are living completely different lives. Emma hopped between foster families her entire life while Sutton was adopted by a wealthy family. The first season was divided in half, airing summer 2011 and winter 2012. The second season aired winter 2013.

Did You Know?

  • Alexandra originally auditioned for the role of Elena on The Vampire Diaries, but lost out to Nina Dobrev.
  • She supports the Delete Digital Drama campaign to end cyber bullying.
  • Alexandra is only 5’3” tall!
  • She claims to have never cheated on a test, or a boyfriend (you go girl!)

I like The Legend Of Korra slightly better because that show took risks that were hardly taken in a show of its kind. It included a lot of mature themes and it really connects with today's older youth.

Well I'm not a really big fan of Taylor Swift but if I had to choose I love both because 'shake it off' is for the older teens as well. So its great as she is growing up so is her music
