Maxs Pirate Planet - A Board Game Adventure is the latest treasure in the app world for kids. Kidzworld has the review.

Attention all pirates, you can now hijack ships and steal treasure using your cell phone... or ipad. Max's Pirate Planet is actually just a fun board game that plays 1-4 players on an app that you can download for any iOS device... but it is so much fun, you'll be fighting at sea when you should be doing your homework. It's so much fun, you might find your parents playing Max's Pirate Planet after you've gone to bed.

The object of the game is exactly what you might think... fight for treasure! Most of the action takes place on a globe that looks like planet Earth: you flick a spinner and move that number of spaces strategically across land and oceans to find and steal the treasure chests. The goal is to collect four of the treasure chests that are scattered across the globe. Once you have four, you can sail to the mythical Sunken City and challenge the dastardly Barnacle Bill for his treasure hoard.

Fun Fights

The battles that you encounter along your journey to steal treasure are what makes Max's Pirate Planet the most fun. You can challenge the opposing players to sword fights or cannon wars. Mysterious fights with sea creatures also happen from time to time depending on your luck.

The Verdict

This is the best board game app on the market. You can try the LITE version for free to see if it's fun. The only thing that would make this game better is if it was narrated by a real pirate like Painty the Pirate, who sings the Spongebob Theme Song. Maybe next version...

Price: Max’s Pirate Planet  is available now for $2.99 from the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon App Store.
