Top 10 Sports Meltdowns

Jun 01, 2013

We all fly off the handle once and a while and lose our temper, and it's even tougher to hold your breath when you're an athlete. Sports can bring out the best in us, but when it gets really competitive, it can also bring out the worst in us. Here are the Top 10 Sports Meltdowns.

No. 10 - Fire in the Hole

Atlanta Braves Minor League Baseball Coach Phillip Wellman should give up coaching baseball and go for stand-up comedy. This melt down is absolutely hilarious... he might have been auditioning for a new sitcom.

No. 9 - Ron Artest Almost Arrested

Ron Artest has been known to break down the basketball ball game one way and another... multiple times. This was his Masterpiece of all meltdowns.

No. 8 - Soccer Headbutt at World Cup

Zinedine Zidane is one of the greatest soccer players ever, but he might be most-remembered for this silly headbutt because someone said something bad about his mother.

No. 7 - Izzy Crazy?

Izzy Alcantera may have pulled off the greatest roundhouse kick outside of Mixed Martial Arts. Too bad it was on the baseball diamond.

No. 6 - Hockey Hate

Jim Playfair ironically has a name that suits what he wants. And if you don't play fair... watch out!

No. 5 - TV Interview Terror

Jim Everett was a great Quarterback in the NFL, but it looks like this reporter didn't think so. He pushes Jim's buttons by simply calling him "Chris"... referring to Chris Everett... a female tennis player. "Snap!"

No. 4 - Terry O'Reilly Rage

Terry O'Reilly was a Boston Bruin, a team well known to act like bears. Terry took it a little too far one night and pretended to be a Grizzly Bear... protecting his cubs... from the evil fans in the stands.

No. 3 - Jolly John McEnroe

John McEnroe loves to be known as the biggest crybaby in the history of sports. He plays the part as an actor in movies and TV shows. Anyways, you can see all the drama this guy can produce in his finest piece... complaining to the tennis judge.

No. 2 - Basketball Coach Crazy

Bobby Knight almost killed someone on the basketball court one night. Since that is too violent to show, here's something a little bit more tame...

No. 1 - Ridiculous Rodman

Dennis Rodman is the NBA's greatest rebounder in history. Maybe it's because nobody wanted to get too close to him. One time, the cameraman got a little too close too Dennis when Dennis fell on top of him. Oh cameraman, you walk a dangerous line. This is what happens when you are a cameraman around Dennis...

yes because it's awful and no nerd would even think of trying to join a cheerleading team. Also, it has teams and makes you pant if you aren't physically fit.
