National Brush Day, AKA The Day AFTER Halloween

Nov 01, 2014

Kidzworld, the Ad Council.org & Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives want to share with you, National Brush Day..

...also known as the day AFTER Halloween.

Brush 2min2x

Hey KW are you brushing your teeth 2min2x?? - Why? 2 minutes each time, twice a day -- will give you healthier teeth, good breath, fewer cavities, and you will avoid painful dental problems later.

Tooth To-Dos

  • Brush with a fluoride toothpaste.
  • Place the toothbrush at an angle against your gums.
  • Make sure you move the brush back and forth, gently, in short strokes.
  • Brush the front, back, and top of teeth.
  • Brush your tongue to remove germs and freshen breath.
  •

The Right Toothbrush

You should use a soft toothbrush. The size and shape of the brush should allow it to reach all areas of your mouth.

Replace toothbrushes every three to four months, sooner if the bristles are worn out or if you have been sick. Talk to your parents and give them this awesome PSA. Attack Plaque!

Attack Plaque!

Plaque is a sticky film of germs that forms on teeth and gums after eating. Plaque that’s not removed by brushing twice a day and flossing once a day can lead to cavities. Ummm YUCK!
