It's superhero time at the box office and the Marvel comic superhero, Daredevil, is here! Ben Affleck stars as The Man Without Fear and Jennifer Garner (from the ABC TV show, Alias) helps him kick butt as Elektra. These two superheroes square off against Bullseye and Kingpin in this new superhero movie that's full of action, adventure and drama.

The Action and Plot
Ben Affleck suits up in the Daredevil costume to kick evil's butt as Matt Murdock, blind lawyer and the one and only Man Without Fear. Unfortunately, Ben doesn't have the ninja-like reflexes of Jackie Chan, or the buff bod of Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man, so his action scenes are a little weak.

The villains of Daredevil are Bullseye (Colin Farrell,) an assassin who never misses, and Kingpin (Michael Clarke Duncan,) a crime lord who's about the same size as your dad's truck. Bullseye is a serious whacko and definite bad news. Kingpin is huge and scary. Unfortunately, like in The Scorpion King, Michael Clarke Duncan has a rough time making the fight scenes look good.

Jennifer Garner saves the movie as Elektra, the Greek butt-kicker with a pair of Sais. She kicks butt, looks more like a superhero than the rest of the Daredevil characters and has some wicked action scenes. Plus she's a total hottie!

See It or Skip It?
Daredevil fills the theater with nearly two hours of superhero action, excitement and fun. It can't compete with Spider-Man, but if you're looking for an action flick to check out with your buddies, Daredevil is a decent cheap night movie.
