Barbie's Skateboard Helmet

Dec 27, 2006

By: Sindy

A skateboard helmet made by Barbie? That's right peeps. The same girl who spends so many hours shopping for new clothes and staring at Ken, has also managed to take some time to design a helmet for girls who love to skate, board or bike.

Now, the first thing I thought when I saw the Barbie helmet was, "What does that chick know about skateboarding?" Barbie's never won any world skateboard titles and I've never seen her land a 360. Well, you don't have to take Barbie's word that this helmet is good - you can just ask world champion skateboarder, Cara Beth Burnside. Cara Beth gives the Barbie helmet a double thumbs up and she'll be wearing it at several skate events during the 2003 season. Cara Beth is one of the pioneers of women's skateboarding who's skated at the X Games, so she knows what she's talking about when it comes to protecting your head.

The Barbie Multi-Sport helmet has a hard-shell with extra protection on the sides and in the back - so your noggin doesn't turn to mush if you have a nasty spill. The helmet's pink - but if that's not your color, you can always jazz it up a bit by slapping on some skate stickers. Barbie may know more about wearing half-tops than riding half-pipes, but the bottom line is, this helmet will protect your head and the price is right. It's just $19.99 US and is available now.
