Kraken, coyotes, Norse legend, oh my! Disney's direct to DVD sequel to Atlantis: The Lost Empire could just as easily have been tagged Milo Returns and returns and returns, as the DVD is really three stories wrapped up in one pretty Atlantian package.

In A2, financier Mr. Whitmore reassembles his crew of fearlessly wacky experts and heads to Atlantis to ask Milo Thatch and Kida for their expert help in solving a mystery, or three. The whole Atlantis Inc. crew of Sweet, Audrey, Vinny and stinky, old Shaggy... err, Mole... are back to lend a hand and the occasional oregano explosion. Those meddling explorers follow the trail of clues from the arctic snows to the deep, watery blue and along the way help Princess Kida discover the power of her city's enchanted crystals. Truth is, even before Atlantis: The Lost Empire was released, Disney was working on a Gargoyles-like TV series called Team Atlantis starring Sweet, Audrey, Mole and Vinny, but after all the executives were finished with their tinkering and adjusting, the show was kablooie. What's left is Atlantis: Milo's Return.
