Imagine this: a diamond ring, a gorgeous white dress, flowers and the man of your dreams. Problem is he's marry someone else - and you're helping him. The Wedding Planner is cute and predictable, but totally worth seeing.
Mary Fiore (Jennifer Lopez) is an IT girl. She is San Francisco's most popular wedding planner, she gets all the big clients and she totally has her act together. But, she's the klutziest person you've ever seen! While walking down the street her shoe gets caught in a manhole and all of a sudden a dumpster starts rolling down the street at mock-10. Mary is about to get smoked when some guy dives on her and saves her. The guy is Steve Edison (Matthew McConaughey) a totally hot, totally perfect doctor.
Unfortunately, Mary soon finds out that Prince Charming is the groom of her latest and greatest client. UGH! Number one rule of wedding planners everywhere - don't fall in love with the groom. But then again, rules are meant to be broken...
If you've seen the trailer to The Wedding Planner then you basically know the plot. It's nothing new although there are few unexpected twists - a subplot about arranged marriages and a guy named Massimo (Justin Chambers). I recommend this flick because it is truly good fluff. Matthew McConaughey is simply adorable, making you want to reach up and pinch those dimples. Jennifer Lopez is hilarious. This is her first comedy role and she pulls it off - even the physical humor.
If you're looking for romance that'll make you laugh instead of cry then this one is for you.
