The two tribes join, but they're not one big happy family. Kucha and Ogakor meet for the first time. The girls from Kucha go for a meal of Jerry's crappy tortillas at the Ogakor camp, while the guys from Ogakor feast on chicken with the boys at the Kucha camp. Both sides seem to like each other, but it's obvious the scheming has already begun. Instead of picking one of the already established camp sites like on Survivor 1, these guys both move to an all new camp. They are all pretty ticked off about it but get happy when they are given wine and cheese to chow on while picking a new name for themselves. They pick Barramundi - which is a type of ugly fish found in the oceans and lakes of Australia.

Then the fun begins - the first immunity challenge. Whoever wins will last at least one more week in the Outback. In this challenge, everyone has to stand on a wooden pole in the middle of the river. Whoever stays standing the longest wins. Rodger goes down first after a couple of hours. After a while the host, Jeff Probst, lures the other ones down with food. He offers anyone who'll come down a feast of chocolate, apples and peanut butter. Then after a few more hours, Probst taunts them with more food - this time it's chocolate and ice cream. That's the end for Jerry and Amber who simply can't hold out any longer. After over ten hours the only two left standing are Tina and Keith, but Tina gives up because she thinks Keith may get voted off if he doesn't win the challenge.

The Tribal Council votes goes strictly along the old tribal lines. Every one from Kucha votes for Colby and everyone from Ogakor votes for Jeff. They vote again - same result. But because Jeff had a vote against him from a previous tribal council, he gets the boot. The two tribes may have joined into one, but it's obvious both sides are sticking with their old alliances.
