Pocahontas DVD Review
Courtesy of BVHEThe classic love story of John Smith and Pocahontas has finally made its way to DVD! Disney releases this two-disc set on the tenth anniversary of its original debut. Read on to find out if this DVD is one that you need to add to your Disney collection.
Pocahontas - A New World Adventure
Long before
Tom started dating Katie, North America was still
undiscovered by the Europeans. That is, until Captain John Smith and his crew from England arrived to
pillage and steal whatever they could find. But Pocahontas and her clan aren't about to just stand back and let the Europeans take what is theirs. Despite the
evil intentions of these Europeans, Pocahontas is convinced that John Smith's arrival is a sign of her
destined path in life.
Pocahontas - Fight for Freedom
Pocahontas' father has promised the most
fearless warrior of their tribe, Kokoum, her
hand in marriage, but Pocahontas has other ideas about
true love. She is
totally smitten with John Smith. As you would expect, this
love triangle takes a turn for the worse and John Smith ends up
killing Kokoum. Suddenly both sides are
out for blood - but who will win?
Pocahontas - DVD Features
For the
tenth anniversary of one of their movies, Disney really rolls out
the red carpet. There are a ton of great extras including
new footage, deleted scenes and some
cool games. Don't feel like watching the whole movie? Then just pop the DVD in and
sing along to all your
fave Pocahontas tracks!
Pocahontas - Bottom Line
This is one of the
great love stories. Every time you hear it, bits and pieces of the story will change, but the overall idea stays the same. Love can conquer anything. I know, that sounds
super sappy, but this flick is more than just a
mushy love story. There's adventure,
battles and some really cute animals! A definite must have for
any DVD collection.
