Here's the scoop on two of the Theme Decks from the Magic: The Gathering: Ravnica set. These two are the Golgari Deathcreep and Selesnya United decks, check out our reviews.

Golgari Deathcreep Ravnica Theme Deck Review

The Black and Green Golgari Deathcreep Theme Deck is a lean, mean, Dredging machine! It's all about loading the graveyard full of cards, then using Dredge to get the good ones back each turn. It also has a solid chunk of powerful creatures, great cards for wiping out your opponent's creatures and no real weaknesses. It's the best of the Ravnica Theme Decks.

Golgari Deathcreep Thumbs Up:

  • Lots of cards that wipe out creatures.
  • Powerful creatures.
  • With Dredge you can draw almost any card you want.
  • The deck box holds a deck of cards properly!
  • Golgari Deathcreep Thumbs Down:

  • You can run out of cards in your deck.
  • Games against the Dimir Intrigues Theme Deck are crazy!
  • Golgari Deathcreep Deck Rating:

Selesnya United Ravnica Theme Deck Review

Go team Selesnya! This White and Green Theme Deck is packed full of creatures, creatures, and more creatures. It lets you summon tiny Saprolings by the fistfull, then use Convoke to summon huge monsters using the Saprolings as Mana. If your opponent can slow you down, it really hurts your strategy. But, if you get rolling, it's all over for your opponent!

    Selesnya United Thumbs Up:

  • Lots of strong creatures.
  • Convoke + Saprolings = big creatures, fast.
  • Great for new Magic players.
  • The deck box holds a deck of cards properly!
  • Selesnya United Thumbs Down:

  • Without a few turns to build up, you can't use Convoke.
  • Not many non-creature cards.
  • Selesnya United Deck Rating:
