2008 Prom Menswear

Whether you go formal in a tuxedo, classic in a suit, or casual in jeans and a vest, Kidzworld offers up some style suggestions for what guys can wear to the prom this year!

Tuxedos

If you're a traditional kind of guy, then a tuxedo is your best bet. It's the most formal gear you can wear to prom, consisting of a single or double-breasted jacket, bow tie and cumberbund worn around the waist, kind of like a belt. You can even get a jacket with tails (no, not the animal kind), but then you might hear penguin jokes all night...

Classic Suits

A classic black suit with a solid-colored tie is for the dude who's not sure what to wear. It's simple, it's stylish and it's sure to make you look great at your prom! If you're stuck on a tie color, just match it to your date's dress.

Go formal in a tux to casual in jeans and a cool vest.

Funky Suits

Just cuz prom is a formal event doesn't mean you can't show off your signature style! Add a twist to the classic suit by opting for patterns like pinstripes or houndstooth checks, and colors like charcoal or navy. Complete your outfit with cuff links, a belt and a tie so hip you'll wanna wear it even after prom's over!

Casual Styles

If your school doesn't have strict dress code rules about the prom, consider wearing a dress shirt with a skinny tie and a pair of Chucks for some retro style, or even a cool T-shirt and vest over jeans for an edgier look. Remember, you can look dressy without actually dressing up!

Your style is simply whatever you want to wear! Just wear whatever feels comfortable, or whatever you think looks good, and it is your style (: It doesn't matter if it's not entirely individual and unique, as long as it's what you feel happy wearing.

I love both my parents equally, but I prefer to spend time with my dad. My father works abroad so I see him a lot less than my mother, but it means that when I see him it feels more special :3

To be honest, this is probably just something you have to bear. I know that sometimes relatives can be irritating, but they only visit often because they care about you and want to see you (: Unless there is a real reason you don't want them to visit - for example, if they are unkind to you - then you should just endure it.  Or you could mention it to your parents and see if they can sort it out? This is something lots of kids have to deal with, me included, and it's just part of life! You are lucky to have grandparents who care about you so much c:
