Staples Invention Quest - What's it All About?

Staples Invention Quest allows peeps to submit their ideas for the next new office product or school supply. For the first time ever, Staples is introducing a kids-only category in partnership with By Kids For Kids. Anyone under the age of 18 can enter their best school supply invention for the chance to win $25,000!

Staples Invention Quest - How to Enter

To enter Invention Quest you can either visit your local Staples store and complete the admission form or enter online at www.inventionquest.com. The winner will receive a $25,000 cash prize, plus royalties if the product is created and sold by Staples. Fifteen additional finalists will each get a cash prize of $5,000. Staples Invention Quest winners will be chosen in April 2007. The deadline for entry is November 27, 2006 so get inventing!

Staples Invention Quest - Brainstorming Ideas

Try to think of something that would make your school life easier or more interesting. If your pencil is always dull maybe you could invent a self-sharpening pencil!

Improve upon what you've already got. Maybe you really like those magnetic picture frames in your locker. Why not improve upon them by designing frames that automatically rotate a series of pictures - or play a song when you open your locker.

The more, the merrier. Come up with as many ideas as you can and then see which ones will be easiest to develop into the real thing.
