Spider-Man swings back into theaters with the third installment of the Spidey series. Is this flick arachno-rific or does it seriously bite?

Spider-Man 3 has swung onto DVD shelves! Find out if this installment is arachnopho-rific or if it seriously bites. We've got the lowdown on the latest Spidey flick!

Spider-Man 3 - Back in Black

Peter Parker has gotten over his super- shyness, and is starting to seriously enjoy the adoration and fame that comes with being "special." He no longer has to hide his true identity from his GF Mary Jane, and all is going swell. So swell, in fact, that Peter plans to pop the question to MJ, but she has other plans...

Spider-Man 3 - It Came From Above

A gooey, black symbiote from space lands conveniently near Peter and MJ as they bask in the moonlight one evening, and ends up hopping a ride home on the back of Peter's scooter. The black goo may look as harmless as an oil stain, but it will soon change Spider-Man so that he's barely recognizable as his former self!

Spider-Man 3 - Enter Sandman

While Spidey is getting all cocky in his new symbiote-infected black suit, a new bad guy hits town. Sandman seems more confused than evil and his sinister past may be linked to Peter Parker's. Meanwhile, Mary Jane is getting pretty tired of Peter's new attitude, which leads to serious problems for the super-couple. Finally, Spidey decides to fight back against the controlling suit, but it might be too late. Oh, and hang on a second - here comes Topher Grace from That '70s Show as the least-scary bad guy ever!

Spider-Man 3 - DVD Features

The Spider-Man 3 DVD is available in several versions for your viewing pleasure. You can grab the single disc, the two-disc Special Edition, the two-disc Blu-Ray set, or the three-disc pack that includes the first two Spider-Man flicks! It comes packed with special features like a behind-the-scenes look into Sandman, Goblin and Venom, funny outtakes and a Snow Patrol music video!

Spider-Man 3 - Bottom Line

Spider-Man 3 has all the daring special-effects that you'd expect from a movie that cost a reported $250 million to make. However, the plot is pretty muddled, the bad guys are fairly weak and Peter Parker and Mary Jane seem to spend the whole movie crying big, fake, blubbery tears. If you've seen the first two movies, you'll probably want to catch this flick to see a few loose ends get wrapped up. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter if you watch the movie or just go to bed in your Spider-Man PJs - either way, you'll end up doing some serious snoozing.
