Family Matters - Fun Facts

  • A few seasons into Family Matters, the writers decided to get rid of the character of Judy. She walked up the stairs in one episode and never came down.
  • Family Matters was actually a spin-off of the popular '80s series Perfect Strangers. Harriette was an elevator operator in that series, and when it ended she was given her own show.
  • Steve Urkel was only supposed to appear in one episode, but was so popular with viewers that he was brought on as a regular character.
  • There was supposed to be a 10th season in which Laura and Steve get married but the show was cancelled in its ninth season.
  • He most notably played Steve Urkel, but Jaleel White played more than seven characters over the course of the show.

According to me Hermione and Harry make a better couple than  Hermione and Ron. But also, if  Hermione and Harry were together than Ron would be alone as he would have no one else to go with. Also the  Hermione and Ron being together adds a new twist to the story as they were always seen fighting and did not seem to get together much.  Also the chemistry between Harry and Ginny cannot be overlooked.
