Explore Mars, gather energy and fend of aliens with this two-in-one LEGO Mars Mission kit! We review it here.

The LEGO Mars Mission team is busy digging energy crystals on Mars, but the aliens aren't friendly! This 374-piece LEGO kit lets you jump into the battle with two toys - the claw-tank and an alien spaceship. The alien ship is very cool and the wings fold in for high-speed chases! The claw-tank is good too, with a terrific rotating piece that lets the top spin 360 degrees (and is perfect for more giant robots!), as well as working arms and a disc shooter. Unfortunately, the glow-in-the-dark aliens can't move their arms and the disc shooter doesn't work very well!

This set is a great start to exploring Mars and blasting aliens. It's packed with cool LEGO pieces and goes great with the LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants Build-a-Bob kit!

LEGO Mars Mission: Claw-Tank Thumbs Up:

  • Tons of really cool pieces!
  • Two toys in one kit = instant LEGO playtime.
  • Awesome hip-rotation piece - great for making massive robots!
  • The driver has a space helmet and goggles - woo-hoo!
  • LEGO Mars Mission: Claw-Tank Thumbs Up:

  • The disc-launcher doesn't work very well.
