Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - PS2, Wii Review

It's a Z-Warrior party in the new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 video game for Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii! This new fight-fest takes the big-haired screaming fighters from the Dragon Ball Z anime and lets you control them through dozens of battles. What's the deal with this new game and is it any good? Find out with Gary's Dragon Ball Z game review!

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - Fighting Mayhem!

This new DBZ game is a giant sack of fighting action that lets you play through the classic Dragon Ball Z story saga with the original characters. Then you can explore the DBZ universe with all kinds of extra missions, battle tournaments, multiplayer modes, training, power-ups and more! Each battle lets you clobber anime warriors in 3D battles as you fly around huge battle zones using powerful combos and swinging your Wiimote around like a cheerleader with a pom-pom to unleash massive ki-attacks.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - Super-Powered Battles

Over 150 Dragon Ball Z characters, 20 brand-new warriors, 10 game modes and tons of power-ups to collect! There's enough DBZ action in this game to go swimming in it. The graphics are good, the sounds are excellent and the characters even talk to you when you're flipping through the game menus! Plus, you can take the fighting online and face opponents anywhere in the world.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - Kicking and Screaming

The button-mashy combos are a bit of a nuisance, but the big problem is the split-screen multiplayer. Everybody moves so fast that they're barely ever on the screen, nevermind how difficult it is to keep track of your opponent! It makes multiplayer battles frustrating unless you challenge someone online.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - Fighting Fun?

A few multiplayer issues and button-mashey battling keep Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 from being truly awesome. But, it's packed full of so many characters, modes and crazy attacks that it'll be fun for any fighting game fan and it's a treat for any Dragon Ball Z fan!
