No. The Mayan calendar says that 12/21/12 (the winter solictice) will simply be the end of the first era and the dawn of the second. Hence, it will not be the end of the WORLD, maybe just a shift in things. The age of man ends and the age of dwarves for middle earth?

last year i was a little worried cuz i was 10 and stuff. but now i realize that if god was going to make the world end he would have ended the human race first. so no i dont think the world will end for a long time
