So last night I had a basketball game, and not to sound snobby, my team is pretty good. We won our last three games twenty eight to five and twenty eight to seventeen and 34-0 and we play teams older than us! Well last night we re-matched a team we beat 51-3. So of course they kind of had a stinky attitude but whatever. So I knew the game was going to be interesting when the ref said at the tip off, "I see what I see and I don't see what I don't see. Don't come whining to me when I don't call something." (P.S this is private school). FAST FORWARD into the 2nd quarter the girls on the other team were tackling and slapping and the ref didn't call ANYTHING! UGH! Like seriously, I saw the stats and the other team had ZERO fouls! If you know basketball, you'd know fouling is apart of the game!
I was so mad! All of the girls on our team broke down crying-- yes, middle school girls. I found it unnecessary cause crying isn't going to help! The whole game was messed up because my teammates were letting their emotions towards the refs get in the way. I didn't play good at all, but I've learned that you can't play with your emotions.
It sucks to know some grown men would cheat sixth and seventh grade girls out of a fair game just for an extra check.
So, am I crazy or were those refs wrong? and is there anything I can do about this because it is SO unfair?
Leaving KW! Love all of my friends! KW has been so good to me these past years! To all of my best friends: You'll know to still have hope for our relationships!
