HELP ME!!!!!

Hello people of the interweb (always wanted to do that!!!!),

Anyway, this is serious, I have chosen to be baptised but I need to tell my parents (who are athiest) they know I am Christian, they just think it is a phase. It really isnt. My school has a chaplain and he knows the reverand of the church that I have chosen but because I will be baptised fairly soon and even he has said I need to tell them. The chaplain does the worship necessary for me at school but he thinks it is about time for me to be baptised because he knows its serious!

Help me!!! How do I tell my parents!!!!

wow! well, it will obviously or probably come as a shocker to them, and I know that some people even ban their children from getting baptised once they have heard-not trying to scare you. so maybe you would like to talk to a paster or the person who is baptising you, and ask them to be there with you when you tell your parents, you can ask you parents to go to the church or maybe your paster or the person who is baptising you will be willling to come to your house if it isnt far away, they are normally always willing to help, and im sure they will understand, otherwise if they cant make it, they will probably give you some good advice about what to do. maybe you can even write a letter to your parents, i communicate better in letters rather than verbally

Thank you, thats how I told them I was christian, through letter. I will do that!!! Thank you so much!

I printed out information about my faith and sat down with my parents. I let them read through what my faith is based on and what the main moral point is and then told them why I wanted to follow it. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and (for the most part) they have been supportive even if they didn't totally agree.

It's ok that you disagree with me, I can't force you to be right.
