(This intro turned out far longer than I wanted it to be... please bear with it, it's just some setting info and stuff needed to make a proper character.) This is a Roleplay of a world similar to ours, similar, but at the same time vastly different.   The World is mainly fantasy, there is Magic, there are Swords, Dragons and there is a whole host of other exciting beasts spread across the world. It is roughly medieval in nature, with basic firearms having been developed (so think flintlocks and cannons), however armour and swords are still very common, with rifles used as a ranged weapon that has replaced archery for the most part, despite a few stubborn families refusing to give up on their traditional weapon.   The continent is split into countries; these countries are ruled by Royal families, whose word is enacted by a society of nobles, they make up the backbone of the country, and provide leaders for many areas of life: such as officers to fuel its fighting force, Barons to rule over settlements, and even Advisers to serve in a country’s royal court. These Nobles are unlike the Commoners they rule over; they are ancient families with clear bloodlines. These bloodlines surface in the form of magic, allowing the individual to manipulate the world around them and perform spectacular and miraculous things.   The Commoners are average people (normal humans) who make up the serving class. Commoners are much more plentiful than nobles, and make up the standard citizen in this RP.   You will not be playing standard citizens, you will be playing nobles, the newly come of age Sons and Daughters of the ruling class, this RP will serve to document your progress as you attend an institution to hone your already potent magical skills, this institution is the Magical College of Ramora.

The College is an ancient one, having existed for as long as documented history recalls. Where the elite are sent to study magic alongside their peers, and are shaped into the beings that will one day hold together the world.   The academy has huge lawn areas and gardens outside, and several large buildings built around an immense tower in the centre of the grounds. This tower contains the Main hall, various offices and classrooms, and finally, at it’s top a vast library and the Headmaster’s Office.   ---------------------------- The students already know their Magic-type. This is their proficiency, and defined by blood. Families who are fire-mages (for example) will have a fire-mage child.   Occasionally a child is born with two proficiencies/talents although in this case their skills are severely weakened, as their bodies must cope with trying to stay in harmony with two elements. These children tend not to become the best magic users, and instead will often go into academic roles to make up for the shortcomings of their abilities.   Elements are defined as forces of nature. Fire, Water, Air, and Earth are the main ones. Although subdivisions of those classes exist in the forms of: Metal, Ice, Plant, etc. (Basically, if you want to play it just run it by me and I’ll make it work, somehow…)

The continent has several countries in it, these are: -Ramora – Where the College is. This is a land of merchants and diplomats, they are peace-loving and as the site of the college tend to serve as a sort of go between fr rtalks between nations. -Flambion – A nation of mainly fire users, located south of Ramora, it is a nation with a short fuse, and although on good terms with everyone is prone to bouts of trading halts and aggressive messages when the royal family is upset. -Circo – A small Island nation located just off of the continent in the sea to the west of Ramora, an area of current unrest as a civil war has broken out between the commoners and the Nobles. -Indo – Located to the north of Ramora, Water users who specialise in art and research. -Gorton – A country of earth users to the east of Ramora, these mages are famous for machinery and industry. -Arduin – A Country of Air Mages who specialise in the care and raising of rare animals, of various magical species.    -------------------- THE FORMS!   Name: Names go here, anything you want, normal or extravagant. Age: You should be roughly 16, although this can be a little higher or lower for various character background reasons. Description: what you look like. Lineage/Nobility: Just say what your family is, so something like a Baron, Knight, or similar (this isn’t too important, but it adds some more background). Country: Where you hail from. Background: a summary of your life so far, important history bits go here. Personality: what you’re like. Mage-Type: what type of magic you are learning to use. DREAMS!: what your character wants from the world, so an aspiration or goal. (Revenge is fine, but, I’d rather it be part of something bigger.)   ---------------------- You have been here at the school for a week, you have started to get to know one another, you may not have made friends yet but you know each-others names. Classes have begun and you know the most basic of magic.   (I’ll control NPCs such as teachers and commoners, basically everyone you interact with, if you want to go to a Building or room just say something like ‘she leaves and heads towards the library, she arrives and starts looking through the shelves for a particular book’ then I can post things about the environment and people in the room.) Yes, please stick to the countries mentioned. Since this is a fantasy world and everywhere is sort of the same, countries won't come into it until later when everyone is happy and confident with the setting. England doesn't exist here, and everyone speaks the same language for the sake of simplicity. The countries were mainly to give people a place to come from that is based around their magic-type, all of them are specialised apart from Ramora which is a big jumble of everything.

Can you change the following bits please? Lineage/Nobility: Amber`s family is just a regualr human family, but shipped her to this college for her own good. - you can be like the last of 6 daughters of a low-baron or something like that. Since magic is defined by your blood it's impossible to be a commoner and learn magic. Country: Liverpool, England - see the top bit. Background: Amber started out as a regular human, but when she was 14, she was bit by her vampire boyfriend and was forced to drink her brother`s blood. Ever since then, she`s been trying to live a normal life. - this is sort of ok, but I'm trying to avoid people having a better starting point due to species, so I'd rather you had something with a more Human-equivalent as far as power goes. If you wanted to have her be a Vampire's thrall, and have her Vampire boyfriend waiting until her blood gets richer/more luxurious/more magical to turn her then I'm sure we could fit that in, so you'd basically be human, but have a secret Vampire-Boyfriend, and still be struggling with having drunk your brothers blood. The Emotion magic is fine, Mind control will be difficult to achieve though.
