I heard her soft excuse and I leaned down to kiss her neck gently, just as a loving gesture... No one else would do that for me, if anything they would tell me to go to bed. "Awww... Baby..." I whispered quietly as I laid down on the couch, holding her snuggly to my chest as I calmly whispered three sweet words that she loved into her ear. "I love you, baby..."

"I love you,too,"I said happily, closing my eyes lightly. I breathed slowly for a few minutes before looking up at him,"You aren't going back to sleep...Are you?"I asked teasingly, but also rather curious. Because...If he was, I would go crazy! I simply could not lay around ALL day and do absolutely nothing, I just couldn't, even for him. I mean...Sure, it was nice to lay with him and all...But, I had to much energy and self respect to know I am purposfully being lazy.

I shook my head quietly as I heard her smart little remark and I sat up slowly, simply holding her to me. "Well.. This isn't my town, so I don't know hat all there is to do around here... You'll have to show me... But first... I must change!" I stated in an overly dramatic voice walking out of the room like some sterotypical overactting actor and walked into Adam's room, grabbing a change of clothes, a shirt and some shorts, and changing quickly to run back out to meet her.

"Woah!"I yelped, as we crashed in the hallway. I chuckled lightly, laying back on the floor that so kindly caught me. I raised an eyebrow at him,"Going somewhere turbo jetro?"I asked softly, noticing just how quickly he had come barreling out of the room. It was probably an add on to his dramatic act, which would have been funny had I not been the way.

I gasped loudly as soon as I felt my head almost clobber her own and shot down to the ground, helping her up slowly and carefully scanning her forehead for any sign of injury. I was almost scared. The one time I tried to be charming and I ended up hurting her. I kissed her forehead softly and hugged her warmly. "Sorry love... I'll slow down next time.."

The look in his eyes from the moment I hit the ground to now, it was pure fear and something else I just can't describe. I'd knicked my elbow on the bathroom door, and landed on my hind end, but that was nothing I couldn't walk off. I gave him a gentle,forgiving smile and hugged him back, kissing his cheek as I pulled back,"You were just being playful, and I got in the way, no sorries,"I said with a nod, rubbing his forehead with the tip of my finger,"You okay?"

I chuckled warmly and kissed her right back before I stepped away from her and started my ascent up the stairs, opening the door and bowing for her as she walked out. "After you, my dear..."

"Walk...Or drive?"I asked, raising an eyebrow gently with a smile. It was easier to walk around the college campus, which was only a block up the road, but Pocatello was largely spaced out, and to show him, driving would be easier. I chewed my lip lightly, and smiled as the little kids from upstairs came running around the corner,"Adam...This is Mary Moo, James, and Christopher. They live in the upstairs level with their parents, who are going to keep an eye on us,"I said with a smirk as the little kids looked him over,"Guys...This is Adam."  I still had trouble using his actual name...

I looked into each of their faces, shaking each of their... Fairly... Small hands before I laughed warmly, bending my knees a bit so I was down to their level. "But... You can just call me Houdini..." I winked up at Ashley, before I reached into my pocket... "Hm... Whats this?" I asked playfully as I pulled a small wrinkled up pile of... Something, from my pocket and with a bit of a hand motion, it turned into a top hat. I watched their faces as they seemed fairly surprised as I placed it on my head, and looked up at Ashley once again. "I was saving that for you..."

Mary and James, which were now five and six, ran off sqealing in excitement, and Christopher stared at the hat with the strangest look, typical eight year old, before walking back inside like nothing had ever happened. I think I was the most excited of them all, a little kid, too. My jaw hung open, in a wide, shocked smile, staring at the hat with utter misunderstanding. God..."That is ADORABLE!!"I said, bouncing on my toes as he stood up.
