Arthur was standing on a ladder in front of a tree, holding an ornament in his hand. He heard the knock on the door, surprising him a bit, causing him to nearly fall off the ladder. He sighed and slowly climbed down the ladder, then walked to the door, opening it and seeing his counterpart, Oliver, standing outside in the cold. "O-oliver? W... What are you doing here?!" he asked, staring at his counterpart with a confused look.

Oliver smiled brightly. "Well, I couldn't let another Christmas pass without seeing you! I miss you something fierce, I do." He leaned in the doorway so he could feel the warm air on his face and caught sight of the beautifully decorated tree. "Wow!" He exclaimed, rushing past Arthur and gawking at the tree. "You are quite the decorator!"

Arthur stared at Oliver for a minute, then closed the door, walking over to Oliver and sighing. "Yeah, well... I do like decorating..." he said, as he stood next to Oliver, holding a blue ornament in his hand he was going to put on the tree until Oliver showed up. "I'm not done though, I still have to put on a few more ornaments, then the angel on top of the tree..." he said, sighing.

((note, one of my headcannons for Arthur is that he loves decorating, especially hollidays xD))

Oliver gasped and turned to the other man with wide eyes. "Oh, can I help? Please? I'm also an extravagant decorator!" He swiftly took the blue ornament out of Arthur's hand, placed it on a tree branch and turned around, smiling proudly. "I can do more, as well! Maybe help with the baking? That is, if you're having people over tomorrow. I could give you some recipes!" 

((Seriously? I always thought that, too...guess I do have a headcannon for him after all XD))

Arthur sighed, looking at Oliver with a bit of a concerned look. "Nah, it's ok. I can do this by myself. I wouldn't want to trouble you." He said, concerned at what he had said, especially about the baking part. He knew about Oliver and his cupcakes, and he didn't want any of his guests getting poisoned.

Oliver bobbed up and down on his heels and clasped his hands together. "Please please please oh please let me help," he begged. "Only if it's something simple like hanging lights! Though I would prefer giving dessert recipes, since I've ... heard of your cooking. Oh, but no, I'm sure it's fine! Delicious, even! Perhaps divine! Please I just really want to help you with something!" He flashed Arthur a look of pure cuteness.

((yeah, I feel good about all of my tests because I take notes and stuff all the time. One of my tests is an open note test, so yeah lol. I always feel good xD I mean, I always get A's))
 
Arthur almost shot him a mean and annoyed look, but kept it inside when he said those words, 'since I've... heard of your cooking' So was he like one of those other people, who thought his cooking was... Bad? He never saw anything wrong with his cooking, especially with his scones. "Ugh... Fine, if you bloody want to, then go ahead!" he said, as he got another ornament from the box.

"You really mean it?" He jumped up and shook the hand that Arthur wasn't holding an ornament in vigorously. "Oh, thank you, thank you! I haven't had any company around decorating time since the boys moved out! This should be fun. But honestly, Artie, I have a whole cookbook of desserts. Just say the word." He set a purple ornament on a tree branch.
