A few days ago (two actually) a van came by in front of my house, threw out a kitten & drove off. It went too fast for me to try & stop them. Here's the only photo I have of the kitten: She's seems really young & is even smaller than the cat I already own & a little skinny. The problem is that I want to care for it. I want to try & help her you know? Give her love & attention. But I can't approach her without her being scared & running away. The only reason I got this photo was because I took it from a distance & just zoomed in. Anyone have tips? I really want to help her out! I would really apprectiate it, thank you

I was in that situation a few months back! Just be very calm, quiet & slow, but not too quiet because the cat needs to know that you are there and you don't want to scare it or anything. Provide it with food and if it starts to eat the food,  try to stroke the cats head, if they get scared and back away, it's fine, it can take a long time for a cat to build trust with you. You need to be patient. You could also try playing with the cat, nothing too big or noisy, it could just be a bit of string that you drag across the floor. Good luck!!
