Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry, that, although very short, portrays much beauty in nature and the world around us.
Notice that all haiku examples carry traditional references to nature and season, so the poet, in his own words, makes the reader appreciate the world around us.
Here are some of my own haiku I've written before.
The Orchids March 2011
Late fall, early spring
Beautiful Orchids take wing
and rise like the sun
Song of a Palm Tree September 2011
The Swaying of a
Palm tree, sweet but vibrant song
on a windy day
Expressions July 2012
The bird spreads its wings
My heart does so in pages
and thoughtfully sings

I MISS YOU MARINA! You are such a beautiful and unique girl
