Rosalie smirked, nudging Maria with an elbow as Ruben walked past. "Oooh, it's loverboy," she teased, whistling and grabbing some cola from the counter along with the curry on her tray.

Maria rolled her eyes as Rosalie teased her. "He's not interested in me, Rose. He's always shying away from everyone, especially me," Maria said as she grabbed a mini-bottle of pink lemonade.

Rosalie snorted. "Don't worry, he's interested in you. Hey, I'll go ask him." She got up and headed towards Ruben's table, where he was sitting next to her brother, sullenly sitting silently as Jack was chatting excitedly.

"Ugh great," Maria grumbled as she quickly followed Rosalie, catching up to her. "Whatever she tells you, don't listen to her!" Maria said as she looked over Rosalie's shoulder even though Maria was still taller than Rosalie.

"Hello, Ruben," Rosalie smiled sweetly, ignoring Maria's frantic protests. "You aren't looking very happy today. I have just the thing to cheer you up. Did you know that-"

Maria rolled her eyes at Jack. "Surely it isn't a fact this time," Maria murmured as she simply stood back, waiting for Rosalie to drop the tease bomb on Ruben.

Rosalie smirked at Ruben's agitated expression. Then she jumped up onto an empty table and got everyone's attention. "Ahem!" she barked.
"Oh heavens above," Jack said, burying his face, embarrassed by his sister.
"Ruben and Ma-"
"Okay, enough of that!" Jack objected, pulling his sister off the table. Rosalie glared at him and then smiled again at Ruben. "Well, basically-"
before she could finish, the bell rang and Ruben shrugged dismally and walked off. Jack laughed, following him.
"Aww, come on!" Rosalie protested, but they were already gone.
