Okay, so, I have wavy hair that goes about to my shoulders. I have bangs, and I love them. But I was wondering something. Would it be a bad idea to get my hair cut really short? Not just shorter, but really, really, REALLY short. Like, boy-ish short. I've always wanted extremely short hair, because I think it's cool, but I don't know how it'll turn out with the kind of hair I have. My hair is just so annoying! It blows everywhere and gets in my face. I feel like if I got it shorter, I'd be better off. But I'm afraid of it...poofing. Turning into, like, an afro. Does anyone have, like, a personal experience on getting thick, wavy hair cut really, really short? If so, PLEASE tell me about it. I want to know if it'd be a bad idea.

If you think it's okay, than it's fine with me. It's your opinion weather you want you hair really short, or not. I honestly wouldn't get my hair cut really, really short. It's not my opinion, your opinion matters.

I'm not exactly asking for an opinion. I'm asking if people know what would happen if I got my hair cut that short. I don't want it puffing up really badly.

Since your hair is wavy, it'll probably get somewhat curlier/poofier, but not so much that it looks like an afro.

Do you think it'd be really, really bad? Like would I have to straighten it a lot, or would brushing it be fine?

Brushing it will probably be fine. But, if it gets too poofy, then you can probably get some special shampoo/conditioner for it.
