Currently I'm taking computer courses at school and I figure since this board is here I might as well give my services to the general public. I know my way around computers very well. Ask any questions/problems you have with your computer here and I'll try to come up with a solution.

What are your uses? I personally have only used PuppyLinux as a debugger/virus remover from my PC so I might not be the best of help.

Unfortunately, I don't. I attempted to get into BASIC this year in school mainly because that's the requirement for C++ but i didn't get in.

Um... Well, whenever I leave my laptop on for a while, and leave without touching it for about 20 minutes or so, and when I come back, the screen has turned totally black. I try to press a few keys to make the screen to change back to what I was doing before again, but it won't work! My dad called it the 'Black Screen of Death,' or something. Is it because of Computer age?

Wait, what?

I think the problem is that the battery is either dying, or it's overheating. Try propping up the corners of the laptop with small things. Chances are the table it's on it is blocking the vents that heat comes out of. When heat builds up, the internal fans can't cool it down fast enough and the PC shuts down for safety. Pretty smart, eh?

Overheated sound about correct. My computer's always plugged in, and it gets very hot after a couple hours. Would unplugging it work as well?

Wait, what?

No, the battery still holds a charge and the laptop will stay on until it dies. Try propping up the back end of the laptop when using the laptop.

oh and if anything DO NOT LEARN BASIC its for the sloppy, lazy, stupid. It is assembly so it is the closest language to the machine code (binary like 101001010010101111) its onyl good for programming TI-83Plus calculators
