'Tis the season to be merry! The holidays are here and that means cuddling up on the couch with the fam and watching
classic Christmas flicks. Check out what movies
Kidzworld recommends you watch this holiday season!
It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

This is the perfect movie to watch on
Christmas Eve with your family - just before Santa comes! Starring
Jimmy Stewart, It's a Wonderful Life is the story of George Bailey, an
all-around good guy. When some money goes missing from his business on Christmas Eve, George kind of loses it and decides his family is
better off without him. Luckily for George, his guardian angel, Clarence, is around to show him the real
spirit of the season.
Babes in Toyland (1961)
Nursery Rhyme characters Mary Quite Contrary and Tom the Piper's Son are going to get married! But bad-guy Barnaby wants Mary all to himself. Somehow, through all the mayhem, Tom and Mary wind up
in Toyland, helping make the final
toys for Christmas. There have been a few versions of this story made into
movie form, but this is definitely the best one.
Miracle on 34th Street (1994)

A re-make of the
1947 classic, this Christmas movie stars Mara Wilson (from movies like Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda). Mara plays Susan Walker, a little girl whose mom told her that
Santa Claus didn't exist when she was really little. So, Susan kind of had a
pessimistic outlook about Christmas. That is, until she met Santa Claus at the mall. And that's when she started to
believe...
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (2000)

It started out as an
animated flick for TV and in 2000, Jim Carrey helped bring this
Christmas classic to the silver screen. The unsuspecting Whos are getting ready for their
big celebration, but the Grinch has other plans. This version follows the same storyline as the original
Dr. Seuss story, with a few extra twists!
Eloise at Christmastime (2003)

Eloise at Christmastime may be a lesser known Christmas movie, but it's bound to become a classic. The
Princess Diaries' Julie Andrews plays Eloise's Nanny, helping her to
spread Christmas joy to everyone around them. This flick really emphasizes the importance of
helping others, which is a good thing to be reminded of - especially
around Christmas.
